Product Junkie

Well, I have seemingly neglected this blog. Whoops. I guess I'll start over (again).

As a little background information, I am now unemployed. This SHOULD mean I will more frequently update this little bugger, but again I'm quite the reluctant blogger. I guess my blogging self-esteem has not been built up quite yet. I feel like there is constant pressure to have a witty, cutesy blog and I'm not sure if I can meet the standard of those blogs of which I enjoy reading! I'll do my best.

Did you like how I nonchalantly through in that I lost my job? Yeah, the economy for the first time ever has affected me directly and resulted in my job not being as high of a priority to Kansas State. All bitter feelings have sense subsided and I'm looking forward to a semester completely focuses on classes, thesis writing, and working out. I have had a job since I was 16 so I'm afraid I wont know what to do with myself.

Anyway, on to the purpose of my post. You would think the increased anxiety resulting from me being laid off would have an indirect effect on my spending habits. Well, it has not. What started out as a little retail therapy has escalated into a few splurges confirming my personal issue of being a "product junkie".

How do you define a product junkie? Well let me share my problems with you all....

And

So you may be thinking "this girl must have a roommate, that is entire too much loot for one girl. Nope. Just me. And that's just the stuff I'm currently trying out. There are plenty of half empty bottles hidden beneath the depths of my sink too.

I should be ashamed. And I am, sort of. I can't help it. I always want to try new things, so I buy them..and then there is something better. I need to work on this. Maybe I need motivation from my readers, If I have any. (Like I said, blogging self esteem: low)

But until I decide to start, here are a few things I have purchased recently to add to the collection of "stuff" that litters my shower ledge and sink.

"oooooo"

"ahhhhh"

Just to name a few.

In conclusion, I am a materialistic, awful person who spends money she doesn't have. Or something like that. But really, can you blame me?! There are so many items to choose from. As an economist, isn't it my duty to find the best products around and support the market? Yeah, lets go with that.

  1. Everyone keeps raving about Moroccan oil. Have you tried it yet? Does it work? Should I get some? Can I just borrow yours? :)
